We have been informed that developers will be starting work in Bathwick street in May 2012 building two Georgian style town houses. A current archaeological survey of the site has uncovered remains of several Roman structures with associated features, as well as a Roman road surface, see blog "Roman remains discovered in Bath". Guests can be assured their stay at Chestnuts house will not be compromised by the development in Bathwick Street. |
It is ideally situated off the main roads and adjacent to Henrietta park, but within a few minutes level stroll of the city centre with its many attractions, restaurants and excellent shopping centre.
The House is built from natural Bath stone, and has four excellent fully air conditioned guest rooms, some with king size and wrought iron beds and one with a private patio area. Warm and attractive decorations have provided well appointed, spacious and comfortable en suite rooms. All are equipped with remote colour televisions, radio/alarm clocks, broadband internet connection, hairdryers and refreshment trays.
